Job summary

NCS Solutions in Penang is seeking a Lab Inventory Assistant to manage laboratory inventory, receipts, issuances, and asset tracking. You will coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, perform Check-In/Check-Out, and support MIR requests in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Willing and able to work on rotating shifts.
• Experience in inventory management, asset tracking, or warehouse operations is an advantage.
• Familiarity with inventory systems, asset management tools, or ERP systems is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory inventory, including receiving, issuing, and tracking equipment, spare parts, and hardware units.
• Perform Check-In/Check-Out activities and process MIR (Material Issue Request) requests.
• Execute demix activities for returned or reassigned equipment.
• Support and fulfill Wombat requests in a timely manner.
• Handle ISM requests and ensure proper documentation and processing.
• Provide support for requests from IM1st and other internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and maintain laboratory inventory indicator.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of laboratory units, equipment, and collateral.
• Perform regular inventory and asset audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in capital asset audits as a backup to the Lab Administrator.
• Maintain and update process documentation, work instructions, and inventory records.
• Ensure inventory data is accurate, organized, and up to date.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management efficiency.
• Follow company safety, security, and quality standards in all laboratory operations.
