Job summary

Fastrain is seeking a detail-oriented FA Technician to perform failure analysis laboratory tests on PCB/PCBA and electronic components, inspect visually and microscopically, and prepare complete FA reports. You will work with IPC standards, ISO management systems, and assist QA Engineers with NPI builds, while adhering to shift schedules and overtime requirements.

The role requires 5 years in manufacturing QA, knowledge of IPC 610/600, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5 years working experience in manufacturing & quality assurance.
• Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, IATF16949, RoHS and REACH.
• Experience with IPC 610, 600, and Failure analysis.
• Able to use the computer including MS Office applications.
• Able to support overtime and work in shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform FA laboratory tests according to assigned FA requests and approved test procedures
• Conduct visual and microscopic inspection of PCB/PCBA and electronic components
• Conduct testing using appropriate laboratory equipment based on the assigned FA requirement
• Draft the test results and FA report accurately and completely, including with other supporting evidence for FA analysis
• Inform the Senior FA Technician when abnormal or unexpected findings are identified
• Lead quality plan implementation through data compilation and analysis
• Ensure the FA reports is compile, updated correctly and proper closure by ensuring respective process is providing the required data information
• Assist QA Engineer to perform NPI build follow up and quality assurance build
• Perform FA analysis based on customer or internal process issue
• Responsible for performing inspections associated with Module and Higher-level products, while keeping quality and efficiency at the highest priority
• Performs inspection/measurement on incoming materials against IPC standards and incoming specification as required
• Perform testing according to the required completion date / ETD
• Update testing progress to the Senior FA Technician and relevant superior
• Perform equipment setup according to approved procedures
• Conduct equipment pre-use checks, perform basic equipment troubleshooting, maintain equipment cleanliness and proper operating condition, and ensure equipment calibration status is valid before use
• Other additional work tasks or additional roles assigned by the superior
