Job summary

Jaring Metal Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a laboratory support technician to assist with sample preparation, equipment operation and safety compliance in a busy lab.

You will handle glassware, chemicals, and data entry in Excel, and support inventory and SOP adherence. Immediate start preferred.

Experience with crushers, disc mills or furnaces is a plus; training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Laboratory or a related field
• Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking
• Prior experience operating sample prep equipment (crusher, disc mill) or hands-on experience with furnaces is an added advantage
• Ability to follow established laboratory procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Hand-on operation of laboratory furnaces for testing
• Wash, clean, and organize laboratory glassware and equipment
• Handle the storage and disposal of chemicals, consumables and hazardous waste materials in full compliance with safety laws and company policies
• Ensure all sample retentions are organized and safely stored
• Monitor laboratory supplies and assist with inventory management
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for daily data entry and record-keeping

Hand-on operation of laboratory furnaces for testing

About you
