Qualifications

• Energetic, reliable and willing to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Basic knife skills or willingness to be trained.
• Interest in or familiarity with Chinese/Hunan cuisine is a plus.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Good stamina — able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (~12kg).
• No prior experience required — training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation (washing, cutting, marinating, prepping proteins and vegetables).
• Support line cooks and chefs during service, ensuring dishes are prepared to standard and on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow recipes and portioning guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
• Assist with inventory checks, stocking, and receiving deliveries.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Support dishwashing and kitchen sanitation duties as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the team during busy service periods.
