Job summary

Qualifications

• Assist with washing, cutting, peeling, portioning and preparing food ingredients.
• Follow portion control to minimise wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen and storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with washing, cutting, peeling, portioning and preparing food ingredients.
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and SOPs.
• Assist the Chef or kitchen team with daily food preparation.
• Ensure ingredients are labelled, stored and handled properly.
• Replenish ingredients and kitchen supplies when required.
• Assist with receiving, checking and storing food ingredients and supplies.
• Follow the kitchen preparation schedule and instructions from supervisors.
• Wash and sanitise utensils, equipment, work surfaces and kitchen tools.
• Follow company food safety procedures and kitchen SOPs.
• Check food ingredients for freshness and quality before use.
• Report spoiled or expired ingredients to the supervisor.
