Job summary

Christine's Bakery in Kuala Lumpur is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation and maintain hygiene in a fast-paced bakery environment.

You should have minimum SPM or equivalent; basic knowledge of food prep, cleanliness and hygiene; be physically fit to stand long hours and follow recipes with discipline. Prior F&B experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent; prior kitchen or F&B experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene practices.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to follow instructions and standard recipes accurately.
• Positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and willingness to learn and support different kitchen sections.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation Support – Assist in ingredient preparation, mise-en-place, cooking, plating, and packaging while following recipes and portion standards.
• Cleaning & Hygiene Maintenance – Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations are clean, sanitized, and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Equipment Handling & Safety – Safely operate kitchen tools and machinery, report hazards or malfunctions, and maintain cleaning and sanitation supplies.
• Operational Assistance – Support kitchen setup, closing duties, inventory organization, and smooth service flow across all sections.
• Team Collaboration & Professionalism – Work closely with chefs and colleagues, maintaining a positive, professional, and cooperative attitude in all kitchen operations.
