Job summary

Restoran Aqiza Nilai in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our cooks with daily food preparation and kitchen operations. The role involves washing, cutting and preparing ingredients, and helping organize kitchen tasks during service.

This full-time position runs from 6:00am to 3:00pm with staff meals provided. Malaysian citizens are encouraged to apply; prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required, but helpful to have basic kitchen knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks with daily food preparation
• Wash, cut and prepare vegetables, meat, fish and other ingredients
• Prepare ingredients according to instructions from the cook
• Help organise ingredients and kitchen supplies before service
• Refill and arrange food preparation items during operating hours
• Monitor ingredients and inform the cook or management when stock is running low
• Keep preparation tables, utensils and kitchen work areas clean and organised
• Wash cooking utensils and kitchen equipment as required
• Assist with general kitchen cleaning and closing duties
• Follow food safety, hygiene and restaurant operating procedures
• Work together with cooks and other restaurant staff

• Salary: From RM1,800++ per month
• Working Hours: 6:00am-3:00pm
• Employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Staff Meal: Provided

Responsibilities:

• Assist cooks with daily food preparation
• Wash, cut and prepare vegetables, meat, fish and other ingredients
• Prepare ingredients according to instructions from the cook
• Help organise ingredients and kitchen supplies before service

Requirements:

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required
• Willing to learn and follow instructions
• Able to handle basic food preparation tasks
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia
• Responsible, punctual and reliable
• Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
• Able to perform physical tasks such as standing, lifting and carrying kitchen supplies
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Malaysia
