Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking kitchen staff for full-time roles in Ipoh. You will assist in basic food preparation, prepare condiments, and support line cooks during peak periods while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Role requires ability to work in a fast-paced cafe environment, stand for long hours, and work shifts including weekends and public holidays. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and prior F&B experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• SPM or relevant experience; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Prior café/restaurant/F&B experience is a plus.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, hot, high-volume kitchen.
• Physically fit to stand long hours.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• High level of cleanliness and discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food prep such as cutting, slicing, washing, portioning and marinating ingredients.
• Prepare sambal, condiments and side items under supervision; ensure mise-en-place is ready before service.
• Assist Line Cooks and CDP during peak periods; follow recipes and SOPs to maintain consistency.
• Assist in assembling basic menu items and plating as required; support stock replenishment during service.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils and kitchen areas; operate dishwashing equipment and ensure sanitization.
• Comply with food safety standards, HALAL requirements and cafe hygiene SOPs.
• Cooperate with front-of-house team during rush hours; assist in receiving deliveries and checking product quality.
• Other kitchen-related tasks as assigned by Outlet Chef or Asst Outlet Chef.
