Job summary

Job description

Plan and conduct age-appropriate lessons and classroom activities based on the centre’s curriculum.

Create a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment for children.

Teach basic literacy, numeracy, language, creative arts, and other early childhood learning activities.

Observe and monitor each child’s learning progress, behaviour, and development.

Prepare teaching materials, worksheets, learning aids, and classroom activities.

Manage classroom routines, behaviour, and daily activities effectively.

Assist children with daily routines such as meals, hygiene, toileting, and other basic needs when required.

Encourage children to develop confidence, independence, communication skills, and positive social behaviour.

Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper organisation of the classroom and learning materials.

Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding the child’s progress, behaviour, and development.

Prepare student progress reports and participate in parent-teacher meetings when required.

Participate in school events, celebrations, field trips, training, and other centre activities.

Work closely with other teachers and team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Follow the centre’s policies, procedures, safety requirements, and teaching standards.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal, Centre Manager, or Management.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.

Candidates with relevant kindergarten or preschool teaching experience will have an added advantage.

Fresh graduates with a strong interest in early childhood education are encouraged to apply.
