About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Teacher to join AL KAUTHAR EDUQIDS SDN BHD in Shah Alam, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in laying the foundation for early childhood development and learning. As a Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe educational environment where young children can grow, explore, and develop foundational skills in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. This role is essential to our mission of providing exceptional early childhood education and care.

What you'll be doing

• Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities and lessons that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
• Creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity
• Observing and assessing children's progress and development, documenting their learning journey
• Building positive relationships with children, fostering their confidence and sense of belonging
• Implementing behaviour management strategies with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement
• Communicating regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, achievements, and any concerns
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and well-being for all children in your care
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to early childhood education
• Participating in staff meetings, professional development, and training opportunities
• Supporting the development of children's language, literacy, numeracy, and social skills through play-based learning

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised by relevant educational authorities
• Passion for working with young children and a genuine commitment to early childhood development
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and preferably in Malay
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards children of all backgrounds and abilities
• Ability to create engaging, creative, and developmentally appropriate learning activities
• Knowledge of child safeguarding, health and safety practices, and relevant early childhood education frameworks
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain this)
• Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, or early childhood setting is preferred
• A flexible and adaptable approach to managing the demands of an early childhood education environment
