Little Genius Seberang Jaya (Islamic preschool) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This is a full-time position based in Seberang Jaya, Penang. As a Teacher in early childhood education, you will play a vital role in nurturing and developing young minds during their foundational years. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment where children can grow intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. This position is central to our mission of providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities and lessons tailored to the needs and interests of young children
Create a warm, welcoming and nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity and confidence
Observe and assess children's development and progress, maintaining detailed records and identifying areas for growth
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's development, behaviour and achievements
Foster positive behaviour and implement consistent discipline strategies that are age-appropriate and supportive
Supervise children during play, meals, rest time and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive early childhood programme and support team initiatives
Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety standards in the classroom and learning areas
Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with early childhood education best practices
Qualification in Early Childhood Education, Childcare or a related field from an accredited institution
Valid teaching or childcare certification/credentials as required by local regulations
Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting
Strong passion for working with children and commitment to their holistic development
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and preferably Bahasa Malaysia
Patient, creative and flexible approach to teaching and problem-solving
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations in a dynamic classroom environment
Sound understanding of child development theories and early childhood pedagogies
able to read and recite al-Quran
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and other stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
