Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to plan and conduct lessons aligned with the school curriculum, and to teach children through age-appropriate activities. The role involves preparing materials, monitoring progress, and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom.

You will communicate with parents, work with colleagues, attend meetings, and ensure daily routines such as meals, hygiene, and transitions are well managed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Permata, Kap, relevant childcare qualification added advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in related field.

• Teach children through age-appropriate academic, hands-on, creative, and play-based activities.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and classroom activities.

• Attend staff meetings, training, workshops, and school events as required.

Responsibility

• Plan and conduct lessons according to the school curriculum and teaching schedule.
• Teach children through age-appropriate academic, hands-on, creative, and play-based activities.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and classroom activities.
• Monitor each child’s academic progress, behaviour, social skills, and overall development.
• Conduct and record assessments, spelling tests, homework, and other learning activities when required.
• Maintain effective classroom management and encourage positive behaviour.
• Assist children with toileting, meals, hygiene, changing, and other daily routines when necessary.
• Ensure children’s safety during classroom activities, outdoor activities, meals, nap time, and transitions.
• Maintain a clean, organised, attractive, and child-friendly classroom.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding children’s progress and concerns.
• Prepare children for school events, performances, celebrations, field trips, and other activities.
• Complete required documentation, student records, reports, and classroom updates.
• Work cooperatively with other teachers and follow instructions from the Head Teacher/Management.
• Attend staff meetings, training, workshops, and school events as required.
