Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an international organisation in the Consumer industry to hire an experienced Key Account professional to grow Modern Trade Channel in Malaysia, focusing on 99 Speedmart, KK Mart and other major local retailers.

You will own strategic local retail accounts, lead retailer relationships, drive new listings and commercial opportunities, and work closely with the local distributor to grow the business through strong

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FMCG Key Account / Modern Trade experience in Malaysia.
• Direct experience managing major local retail accounts is highly preferred.
• Strong negotiation and customer management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop key retail accounts in Malaysia, especially major local chains.
• Build strong relationships with buyers and drive new listings, distribution expansion and sales growth.
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, margins, trade terms and promotions.
• Develop account plans based on customer needs, category opportunities and competitor activity.
• Work closely with the local distributor to ensure strong execution across inventory, delivery, merchandising and promotions.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of FMCG Key Account / Modern Trade experience in Malaysia; beverage experience preferred.
• Direct experience managing 99 Speedmart, KK Mart or other major local retail accounts is highly preferred.
• Proven experience securing new listings and developing new business.
• Strong commercial negotiation and customer management skills.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.
