Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Specification Executive to drive product specifications for residential, commercial and industrial flooring projects in Kuala Lumpur. You will work with architects, consultants, developers, and contractors to tailor offerings that meet project needs.

You will review tender documents, interpret drawings, provide technical advice, and deliver CPD sessions. Travel to sites will be required to support installation and ensure compliance with SIRIM, CIDB, ISO standards,

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in specification/technical sales.
• Experience with building materials or flooring is a plus.
• Ability to engage with architects, developers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and secure product specifications with architects and developers.
• Review tender documents and drawings to align offerings.
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations.
• Conduct CPD presentations and technical workshops.
• Track project pipelines using CRM and project databases.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and secure product specifications with architects, consultants, developers, and key decision-makers for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Review and interpret tender documents, technical drawings, and project requirements to ensure alignment with product offerings.
• Provide technical advice, product recommendations, and solutions that meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Conduct CPD (Continuing Professional Development) presentations, technical workshops, and training for industry professionals.
• Track and manage project pipelines, specification status, and opportunities using CRM systems and project databases.
• Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams to drive specification strategies and project conversion.
• Ensure compliance of specified products with local and international standards (e.g., SIRIM, CIDB, ISO).
• Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including professional bodies and government authorities.
• Monitor competitor activities, product specifications, and market trends to identify gaps and new opportunities.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to support the implementation of specified products and resolve technical challenges on-site.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, Engineering, Building Materials, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in specification, technical sales, project sales, building materials, flooring, construction, or a related industry.

• Good understanding of architectural drawings, project specifications, and construction processes.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable engaging with architects, consultants, developers, contractors, and other industry professionals.
• Willing to conduct site visits and travel when required.
