Job summary

Sheng Jian Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Junior Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) / Project Engineer to join the project team in Ipoh. The role blends site safety responsibilities with project engineering tasks, supporting execution and coordination of construction projects requiring DOSH/JKKP compliance.

The successful candidate should hold a Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Construction or related field, with fresh graduates welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Construction or a related field.
• Valid DOSH/JKKP Site Safety Supervisor – Yellow Book.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities and ensure DOSH/JKKP, OSHA compliance.
• Conduct site safety inspections, toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Identify hazards and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with safe work practices and PPE requirements.
• Maintain safety records, reports, permits and other HSE documentation.
• Assist with incident reporting and investigation.
• Assist in planning, coordinating and supervising project activities.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Monitor project progress, workmanship, materials and site activities.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Assist with project documentation, progress reports and site measurements.
• Support the Project Manager in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule and according to specifications.
