Job summary

SK PARK SDN BHD is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor focused on project administration in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. You will assist in BQ, cost estimates, budgets, tender documents and evaluation of progress claims while supporting cost reporting and supplier coordination.

The role also covers project documentation, meeting coordination, and daily administrative support to the project team. Fresh graduates are welcome; travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, budgets and tender documents.
• Prepare and evaluate progress claims, interim valuations and final accounts.
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure expenditures are within approved budgets.
• Assist in assessing variation orders, cost impacts and contractual claims.
• Support the preparation of payment certificates and cost reports.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and suppliers regarding cost and contractual matters.
• Provide administrative support to the project team and management.
• Prepare, organize and maintain project documentation, including contracts, correspondence, drawings, and reports.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes of meetings and follow up on action items.
• Assist in monitoring project schedules, submissions and approvals.
• Handle correspondence with clients, consultants, contractor and authorities.
• Ensure proper filing and record-keeping in accordance with company procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of construction contracts and cost management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google Workspace; knowledge of QS software is an advantage.
• Good communication, organizational and documentation skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
• Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
• Basic understanding of contract forms (PAM, CIDB, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
