Job summary

HEB Group in Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support cost control across engineering projects. You will perform quantity take-offs from drawings, assist in cost estimation, and help prepare Bills of Quantities and tender documents.

The role involves monitoring costs, reviewing claims, and liaising with clients and project teams. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Quantity Surveying with 1–3 years of relevant experience, a good grasp of Excel, and the ability to read engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant working experience; internships welcome.
• Understanding of quantity take-off and Bills of Quantities.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specs for cost control.
• Assist in cost estimation and preparation of Bills of Quantities.
• Assist in preparing tender documents and evaluating tenders.
• Monitor project costs and assist in cost reporting.
• Review progress claims, variation orders and contractual claims.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors on commercial matters.
• Maintain records of project costs, tenders and contracts.
