Job summary

Konan Design is seeking an interior designer with a minimum of 2 years' experience to join our team in Malaysia. You will translate client visions into space plans, material palettes, and detailed 2D/3D renderings, collaborating with architects and contractors to ensure design intent is realized.

Responsibilities cover concept development through project completion, including furniture selection, budgets, and coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years of experience in interior design.
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field. Additional certifications and accreditations are a plus.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max (Vray), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or other related programs.

• Design Concept Development: Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences, requirements, and budget constraints.
• Space Planning: Efficiently and effectively plan interior spaces, considering traffic flow, furniture layout, and optimal utilization of available space.
• Material and Color Selection: Research and recommend suitable materials, finishes, and color palettes to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of interior spaces.
• 3D Visualization: Create detailed 2D and 3D renderings to help clients visualize design concepts, ensuring seamless communication and understanding of the final design.
• Furniture and Fixture Selection: Curate an inspiring selection of furniture, fixtures, and accessories that complement the overall design and meet the clients' needs.
• Project Management: Oversee the entire design process, from concept development to project completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets and schedules.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of design plans and ensure that the design vision is realized.
• Trends and Market Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest interior design trends, emerging materials, and industry innovations to provide innovative and cutting-edge design solutions.
