Job summary

VORTEX IDEAS (M) SDN BHD is seeking a junior Interior Designer to assist in concept development, 3D modeling, and drawing production. Fresh graduates are welcome, with 1–2 years’ experience helping applicants pen a stronger portfolio.

You will develop 3D models, 2D drawings, and material boards, while supporting with site measurements and client coordination. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop and Illustrator is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant working experience will have an added advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp or any 3D softwares.
• Familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for presentation and design purposes.
• Basic understanding of space planning, design concepts, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and detailing.
• Able to prepare and understand technical drawings, floor plans, elevations, and construction details.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models, renderings, mood boards, material boards, and presentation materials.
• Prepare 2D drawings, detailed drawings, furniture layouts, elevations, and construction drawings.
• Assist in selecting furniture, fixtures, finishes, materials, colours, and decorative elements.
• Conduct site measurements and assist with site inspections.
• Assist in preparing material samples, schedules, and project documentation.
• Revise drawings and designs according to client feedback.
