Job summary

RC Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd in Penang invites applications for an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, boost productivity, and enhance cost effectiveness. You will analyze processes, develop standards, perform method studies, and support capacity planning to improve efficiency and output.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, familiarity with CAD, ERP, and Lean methods.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Fresh graduates welcome; candidates with up to 1 year of IE/ME experience encouraged.
Good CAD knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Project; ERP familiarity is a plus.
Lean manufacturing knowledge or Lean Six Sigma is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing processes to identify productivity, efficiency, quality and cost improvements.
Assist in developing production standards, process flows, work methods and operating procedures.
Conduct method studies and work measurements to establish efficient work methods.
Support capacity studies covering manpower, machinery, tools, equipment, and workspace.
Assist with layouts and equipment improvements using CAD software.
Support Lean initiatives including VSM, TAKT, 7 Wastes, Standard Work, and JIT.
Identify opportunities to reduce waste and production costs and optimize resources.
Assist in ERP implementation, procedure development, report automation, and dashboard creation.
Prepare material and equipment lists, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
Help develop process controls to prevent production losses and costs.
