Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
Professional accounting qualification such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Practising Accountant), or equivalent is highly desirable
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting within a full-time role
Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and accounting principles
Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
Excellent understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and financial compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members
Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors is preferred.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other applicable accounting standards
Manage general ledger operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, and account management
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure audit readiness and respond to audit queries
Maintain and improve financial accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Analyse financial variances and prepare explanations and reports for management
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting treatments and best practices
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting issues
