Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a fresh-graduate junior accountant to support the finance team. You will assist with full accounting functions, reconciliations, and monthly closings, gaining exposure to AP/AR/GL processes and project costing in a structured training environment.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and reliability, with opportunities to learn taxation matters and collaborate with vendors and clients. On-site work in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Familiarity with SQL Accounting Software will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the full set of accounts, including AP, AR and GL functions.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist in preparing financial reports.
• Monitor and manage project-related costing, claims, and invoicing to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the SQL Accounting System.
• Assist with monthly financial closing, preparation of audit schedules, and taxation-related matters.
• Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and clients regarding finance and accounting matters.
• Maintain accurate and systematic filing of financial records and supporting documentation.
• Provide support to the Finance Manager on ad-hoc financial tasks, analysis, and reporting as required.
