Jora Malaysia is seeking a motivated Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience in daily finance operations, reporting, and compliance, while working closely with senior team members to learn best practices.

You will support data entry, invoice processing, reconciliation tasks, and assist with month‑end close, providing a solid foundation for a finance career in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; some relevant internship or work experience will be an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and finance processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Autocount systems is a plus).
• Good attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including data entry, invoice processing, and payment preparation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal postings and reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and supporting documents for management review.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of finance records.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, auditors, company secretary) on finance-related matters.
• Perform any ad-hoc tasks or administrative duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
