Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a dynamic Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations in Selangor. You will process invoices, handle claims and data entry, and assist in preparing financial reports and monthly reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of accounting standards, bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; knowledge of UBS, SQL, or AutoCount is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English and Malay.
• Able to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and within a team under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day accounting operations including invoice processing, claims, and data entry.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, payment vouchers, and monthly reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
• Help monitor budget allocations for departments and faculties.
• Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and internal units on payment and financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
• Undertake other tasks as directed by Head of Department from time to time.
