Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our team. This role is suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with some accounting experience who want to gain practical accounting skills in a growing M&E contracting company.

Training and guidance will be provided. Expect a supportive environment with structured on-the-job learning and exposure to supplier/customer invoicing, payments, and basic banking tasks.

Qualifications

• SPM, Diploma, LCCI or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• English and Mandarin are an advantage.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and be detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting data entry and documentation.
• Handle and organize supplier invoices, customer invoices, receipts and payment documents.
• Check invoices against relevant PO and DO documents.
• Assist in monitoring customer payments and outstanding invoices.
• Assist in preparing payment documents and vouchers.
• Maintain proper filing of accounting and project documents.
• Assist with basic bank reconciliation and checking of accounting records.
• Assist in preparing progress claim and project-related documents when required.
• Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding invoices and payment matters.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
