CUCKOO International (MAL) BERHAD is seeking a Junior Executive, Research & Development Engineer to support the R&D team in developing, testing, evaluating, and improving electrical and electronic products. You will assist with assembly, testing, and documentation, coordinating with production and quality teams, and supporting related activities.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields, with 0–2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain R&D, testing, inspection, and quality documentation.

Job description

The Junior Executive, Research & Development Engineer supports the Research & Development (R&D) team in the development, testing, evaluation, and improvement of electrical and electronic products. The role involves assisting with product assembly and testing, coordinating with production and quality teams, maintaining technical and quality documentation, and supporting material and product handling activities related to R&D projects.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development, assembly, testing, and improvement of electrical/electronic products.

Conduct product testing and ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.

Assist with troubleshooting and resolving product or technical issues.

Coordinate with Production, Quality, and other departments on product requirements and testing.

Prepare and maintain R&D, testing, inspection, and quality documentation.

Support prototype development, product modification, and validation activities.

Handle R&D materials, components, samples, and products as required.

Maintain proper storage, labelling, and organization of materials and equipment.

Support production and other R&D-related activities when required.

Maintain good housekeeping and comply with company safety and quality requirements.

Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Job Requirements

Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 0–2 years of relevant experience is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, components, and testing.

Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.

Knowledge of testing equipment is an added advantage.

Good communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn.

Able to work independently and in a team.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Willing to perform hands-on assembly, testing, and production support activities.
