Job summary

Kejuruteraan Letrik Etara (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Engineering & Operations Assistant to support our engineering and daily operations team. This role is suitable for a fresh graduate who is eager to learn and gain hands-on exposure in an engineering environment.

You will work closely with engineers, workshop staff, customers and suppliers, coordinating activities from initial requirements through to completion. Training and guidance will be provided to help you grow in this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with customers, suppliers and internal team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compile service reports, inspection reports and other job-related documentation.
• Collect job information, technical details and compile pictures for report preparation.
• Monitor and follow up on ongoing jobs and update job progress/status.
• Liaise with customers on routine job updates, reports, documentation, collection and delivery arrangements.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, check stock availability, pricing and delivery lead time.
• Assist in sourcing and ordering spare parts, materials and other items required.
• Follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders and delivery status.
• Coordinate with workshop personnel regarding job progress and requirements.
• Maintain proper records of reports, supplier quotations, orders and other job-related documents.
• Assist in coordinating between workshop personnel, customers, suppliers and office staff.
• Follow up on outstanding matters and highlight delays or issues to the relevant personnel.
• Perform other engineering support and operational duties as assigned.
• Assist in coordinating in-house inspections where necessary.
