Job summary

Hitec Metal Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Junior Design Engineer (Structural Steel) to design and review structural drawings and reports. You will coordinate with clients on detailing, schedules and specifications, while ensuring quality control and timely delivery with the drafting team.

Candidate should have a structural/civil engineering degree, at least 1 year of steelworks design experience, or be a fresh graduate. Proficiency in AutoCAD and STAADPro is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or professional degree in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in civil/steelworks design.
• Fresh graduates may apply.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAADPro and other structural software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out engineering designs, review drawings and calculations/technical reports.
• Coordinate with client on structural detailing, technical issues, project schedule & specifications.

JUNIOR DESIGN ENGINEER (STRUCTURAL STEEL)

Carry out engineering designs, review relevant drawings and calculation/technical reports.

To coordinate with client on structural detailing, technical issues, project schedule & specifications.

To cooperate & communicate effectively with project manager & client, report regularly on project status.

To perform quality control and ensure drawings produced by draughtpersons to meet design specifications and client's expectation.

To liaise with drafting team and ensure on time delivery of project.

Requirements:-

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Min. 1 year(s) of working experience in designing of related civil / steelworks.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Proficient in the use of engineering design software such as AutoCAD, STAADPRO and other structural software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
