Job summary

YE CONSULT in Selangor, Petaling Jaya invites a Junior Structural/Civil Engineer to join our consulting team. You will assist in design calculations, prepare concepts, and perform analysis using industry software.

You will also prepare drawings, review details, and liaise with BIM modelers to ensure design compliance. You will work closely with architects and engineers, participate in meetings, and contribute to site inspections and technical submissions.

• Work closely with architects, civil engineers, M&E engineers, and project managers
• Attend technical meetings and design discussions

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in structural design calculations
• Design structural components such as beams, columns, slabs, and footings / foundations
• Prepare preliminary design concepts
• Perform structural analysis using software such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, and Prota
• Check loadings include dead load, live load, wind load, and seismic load
• Prepare and review structural drawings and details
• Coordinate with drafters / BIM modelers
• Ensure drawings comply with engineering design requirements
• Prepare structural calculation reports, design reports, and technical submissions
• Assist in preparing documents for authority submission
• Conduct site inspections to ensure construction follows design drawings
• Provide technical advice when issues arise on site
