Job summary

Oriental Kopi in Malaysia seeks a dedicated cook to master basic cooking methods and prepare fresh ingredients daily according to menu and SOP. The role covers proper storage, cleanliness, and maintaining high food safety standards while working with the Head Chef and team in a fast-paced kitchen.

Experience in F&B, ability to work weekends and shifts, and strong attention to detail are essential. Training and development are offered as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM/Diploma in related field.
• At least 1 year experience in the same job role in F&B industry.
• Able to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
• Follow directions from Head Chef and maintain food preparation consistency.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Master all basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients.
• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/SOP needed for the station daily.
• Responsible for proper storage of food preparation and storage area.
• Improving your food preparation methods based on feedback.
• Perform overall cleaning duty of the kitchen area, all crockery and equipment.
• Maintain food safety standards and observe safety precautions when handling equipment.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by Head Chef & Chef De Partie.
• Ability to work in a team.
