Job summary

MEGAGENIX | CFD & FEA Consultant in Ipoh, Perak, is seeking a Simulation Engineer to support high-fidelity CFD/FEA studies on-site at our Ipoh office. This full-time role focuses on delivering accurate simulations for complex engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will prepare models, execute simulations, and post-process results, while contributing to technical reports and recommendations. A technical engineering degree with hands-on CFD/FEA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree in a technical field.
• At least 1 year of CFD/FEA, engineering simulation, or performance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with CFD/FEA software such as ANSYS Fluent/Mechanical, Cradle SCFLOW/SCSTREAM, or OpenFOAM/Abaqus/STAR-CCM+.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CFD/FEA models with geometry, meshing, materials, and boundary conditions.
• Run steady-state and transient simulations for fluid flow, heat transfer, and structural analysis.
• Post-process, interpret, and evaluate simulation results; create figures and reports.
• Maintain documentation of modelling assumptions, methodologies, inputs and results.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot modelling challenges.

Megagenix is an engineering consultancy specializing in high-precision Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) solutions for complex systems in the built environment, industrial facilities, and mission‑critical infrastructure. We help engineers, architects, developers and contractors in optimizing designs, improving safety, and achieving regulatory compliance through advanced simulation.

B) Position Overview & Job Functions

We are looking for a Simulation Engineer to support and execute high-fidelity CFD and FEA studies across a wide range of engineering projects. This is a full-time, on-site role and the successful candidate would join our Malaysia office in Ipoh, Perak.

C) Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Preparing CFD and FEA models, including geometry preparation, meshing, material properties, and boundary‑condition definition
• Performing steady‑state and transient simulations involving fluid flow, heat transfer, and structural analysis
• Post‑processing, interpreting, and evaluating simulation results
• Preparing technical figures, contour plots, charts, and engineering reports
• Conducting model‑verification checks, including mesh‑independence studies and boundary‑condition validation
• Working closely with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve modelling challenges
• Maintaining clear documentation of modelling assumptions, methodologies, inputs, and results
• Supporting the development of practical and technically sound engineering recommendations

D) Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum one year of relevant working experience in CFD, FEA, engineering simulation, design analysis, or performance analysis
• Hands‑on with CFD and/or FEA software: ANSYS (Fluent, Mechanical)
• Hands‑on with CFD and/or FEA software: Cradle SCFLOW / SCSTREAM
• Hands‑on with CFD and/or FEA software: OpenFOAM / Abaqus/ STAR‑CCM+ (At least one)
• Sound understanding of Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer and Solid Mechanics
• Familiarity with numerical methods and discretization concepts
• Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate simulation data and generate actionable insights
• Good problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail in managing complex technical challenges
• Effective communication, technical documentation, and teamwork skills
