Job summary

Eastern Hope Sdn Bhd seeks a seasoned multi-store retail leader to oversee daily operations across assigned stores and drive outstanding customer service. You will manage staffing, inventory controls, visual merchandising, and store expansions while ensuring SOP compliance and strong performance analytics.

Travel to regular store visits is required. A proactive, self-driven mindset, excellent communication, and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail operations, store management, or area management.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Able to travel extensively for regular store visits.
• Possesses own transport.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Deep interest in fashion, consumer behaviour, retail operations, and market trends.
• Resourceful and adaptable, able to thrive under pressure, handle impromptu tasks, and proactively seek out information to resolve issues.
• Responsible, dedicated and highly self-driven.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Store Operations & Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of assigned retail stores. Manage employee scheduling, drive recruitment efforts, and lead teams to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
• Inventory & Visual Merchandising: Maintain optimal stock levels by managing inventory controls, including strategic repeat ordering and inter-branch merchandise transfers. Uphold strict in-store visual merchandising standards to maximize product appeal.
• Retail Expansion & Projects: Play an active role in business development by overseeing new store setups, supervising renovation progress, executing promotional events, and conducting site visits for potential new locations.
• SOP Compliance & Internal Controls: Train, guide, and audit retail store employees to ensure strict adherence to the Company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safeguard internal controls.
• Performance Analytics: Generate and analyze reports related to merchandise performance and customer behaviour to provide actionable insights to the management team.
• Cross-Functional Support: Perform other ad-hoc operational tasks and collaborate seamlessly across departments to support the growth of the Operations Department.
