Job summary

Tapway Sdn Bhd is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to join the AI team in Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. You will design, build, and deploy LLM-powered AI agents capable of reasoning, tool-using, information retrieval, and task automation within business processes.

You will work hands-on with Large Language Models, RAG, AI agents and emerging AI technologies, turning prototypes into production-ready features while ensuring performance, scalability and safety across systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in ML/LLM/AI applications.
• Internship experience considered relevant.
• Experience building RAG systems, AI agents, LLM applications or similar AI solutions.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain or LangGraph or similar AI/agent frameworks.
• Good understanding of LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Experience with RAG pipelines, vector search, embeddings and vector databases.
• Familiarity with tool calling, agent workflows, memory, and multi-agent systems.
• Experience with Docker and deploying apps to cloud or on-premise.
• Understanding of APIs, Git, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build LLM-powered AI agents and multi-agent workflows using tool calling and planning.
• Develop RAG pipelines with document ingestion, embeddings, and vector search.
• Integrate LLMs via cloud APIs and self-hosted inference platforms like vLLM.
• Build evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and monitoring for AI accuracy and safety.
• Develop APIs and integrations to connect AI agents with business apps and data sources.
• Prototype and productionize AI features from prototypes.
• Troubleshoot and optimize AI applications for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, AI/ML engineers, and software engineers.
• Document system architecture and experiments.
• Stay updated on LLMs, agentic AI, RAG, and AI infra.
