Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Accounts Assistant for our small, professional services firm serving SME clients across industries in Johor Bahru. The role supports bookkeeping and preparation of client accounts in a hands-on environment.

You will handle invoicing, bank reconciliations, assist in preparing full sets of accounts, and coordinate with auditors and tax agents. Fluency in English and Bahasa Melayu is required, Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• A diploma in accounting or equivalent is required.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; experienced candidates may apply.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Careful, accurate work with attention to detail.
• Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Melayu is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping duties such as processing invoices and claims, bank reconciliations for clients.
• Assist with preparing full set of accounts for clients.
• Prepare workings for ad-hoc accounting tasks.
• Communicate with clients on accounting queries.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and secretarial on audits and taxation matters.
