Job summary

Compass Beam Capital in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Executive to lead financial operations, drive reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in a fast-growing firm.

You will manage treasury, ensure compliance, strengthen internal controls, and mentor the finance team while collaborating with auditors and tax agents.

Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting/Banking with 3+ years' experience, strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, and proficiency in XERO and MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in finance/accountancy/banking.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or CFA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a role handling full sets of management accounts.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and XERO.

As our Junior Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

1) Financial Reporting and Operations Management.

• Oversee the company’s financial reporting structure both internally and externally, ensuring timely and accurate monthly and yearly closings.
• Manage daily finance operations, including treasury, banking, and working capital.

2) Budgeting, Forecasting, and Asset Management.

• Lead budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
• Manage the company’s assets, monitor foreign currency exchanges, and provide accurate financial forecasts to guide decision-making.

3) Compliance and Internal Controls.

• Liaise with auditors, corporate secretaries, and tax agents to ensure effective statutory and regulatory reporting.
• Enhance internal controls and continuously improve financial policies and processes.

4) Team Leadership and Special Projects.

• Manage, develop, and lead the finance team.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments, special projects, and business presentations as needed to support organisational goals.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or Professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA and CPA / CFA).
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position with experience in handling a full set of management accounts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Words, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency in accounting software such as XERO.
• Proficient in verbal and written use of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Highly detailed oriented individual with good time management.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Are able to work in a team and independently.
• Are adaptable to meeting tight deadlines.
