Job summary

Micron Memory Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an L2 IT support professional to manage server and DB operations on Windows and Unix, providing 24/7 coverage and handling major incidents.

You will ensure SLA/KPI targets, monitor performance, and drive process improvements. Strong scripting and certifications are a plus, with option to work day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Academic know-how or internship experiences in IT infrastructure (Windows 2019/2016, RHEL) and database virtualization technologies.
• Desire to learn hardware and virtualization technologies like Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant, VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift and Citrix.
• Certifications from Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and Cisco; familiarity with scripting languages is a plus.
• Knowledge in programming and scripting languages such as Java, PowerShell and Python is preferred.
• Awareness of AI applications as added value in daily work.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support in incident, request, change and problem management for server and DB operations (Windows and Unix).
• Provide 24/7 L2 support and participate in Major incidents.
• Ensure SLA for incidents and service requests are met with high quality of work.
• Ensure KPIs (breach case target, MTTR, escalation target) are met.
• Install and upgrade firmware for hardware and operating systems; apply patches and changes as required.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot OS/hardware errors to ensure high availability of MFG systems.
• Monitor server performance proactively and analyze cases to prevent recurrences.
• Review and enhance server monitoring when required.
• Develop processes and operation procedures related to server operations.
• Create and manage reports, visualizations, and dashboards for Windows/Unix operations.
• Perform capacity planning and participate in Disaster Recovery drills.
• Collaborate with SMEs (Level 3) for improvements ensuring security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability.

Job description

ProvideL2supportin incident,request, changeandproblemmanagementrelated to server and DB operations in Windows and Unixoperating systems.

Provide L2 support covering 24/7 and participate in Major incidents.

EnsureSLA for incidents and service requests are met with high quality of work.

Requirement:

Bachelor’sor Master’sdegree Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/SoftwareEngineering, Information Systems or relatedfields.
