Job summary

FMT Media Sdn. Bhd., based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, is seeking a reporter to gather and deliver news that captivates our audience. You will interview, research and produce well-written reports in line with our house style and tight deadlines.

You will attend events, conduct interviews with stakeholders and experts, and collaborate with editors, photographers and videographers to enhance the visual presentation and overall quality of stories. A strong portfolio and ethics are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related fields.
• Relevant certifications in journalism or media studies.
• Proven experience as a reporter.
• Strong portfolio of published articles, reports, or multimedia content.
• Strong research and fact-checking abilities to ensure accuracy.
• High ethical standards and commitment to unbiased and fair reporting.
• Knowledge of AP style or other journalistic writing guidelines.
• Strong interviewing and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and storytelling ability.
• Strong commitment to work and professional conduct.
