Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Pasona Sdn Bhd has an opening for a Japanese Speaker Production / QA Engineer (REF: AC) in Malaysia. The role focuses on planning production schedules, maintaining documentation, and coordinating resources to meet output and KPI targets.

You will lead, mentor, and develop the production team and work with cross-functional colleagues to resolve issues, while liaising with the Japan HQ and delivering regular management updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering.
• Familiar with QA/QC tools and able to read technical drawings.
• ISO knowledge or IATF 16949 knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and control production schedules to ensure output, quality, and production targets are achieved.
• Develop and maintain production documentation, procedures, technical guidelines, and best practices.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and resources to achieve production efficiency and KPI objectives.
• Conduct trials, testing, data analysis, and process improvements to optimize equipment, processes, facilities, and operator capabilities.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to production processes, systems, products, and overall productivity while minimizing costs.
• Work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to management.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the production team while acting as liaison with the Japan HQ, preparing regular updates and reports for management.

Production Engineer Job scopes

Additional responsibilities

• To assist in corresponding to all Customer related request and activities.


• To assist in managing and preparing for all Customer Audit, Internal Audit and Compliance Audits.


• To implement ongoing quality improvement process working with inter department teams to ensure the production and supply of product is in accordance with the quality and safety standard.


• To assist in monitoring and improving in process and outgoing quality and handling of line quality related issues, implement and drive internal corrective actions.


• To assist in Quality Data Management, maintaining inspection records, quality related update documents, code, standards and specifications as required by the quality system.

Requirements

• Degree in any engineering field from recognize University.


• Familiar with QA/QC tools & able to read technical drawings


• ISO knowledgeable preferred. IATF 16949 knowledge is an advantage.


• Good interpersonal and leadership skills


• Proficient languages in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Japanese is a must due to job requirement.
