Kolej Yayasan UEM (KYUEM) invites an IT professional to provide advanced technical support and maintain its IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable network and server operations for staff and students. The role supports the IT Executive and Senior Technician in projects, upgrades, and user training, while enforcing IT policies, security, backups, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

At least a Diploma or Degree in IT or related field.
Minimum 3 - 5 years in IT support; experience in network/server administration preferred and customer support oriented.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of LAN, servers, and data security.
Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
Professional, proactive, and adaptable.
Team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Network & Server Support: maintain LAN and servers, including updates and backups.
Technical Troubleshooting: handle complex hardware and software issues; provide second-level support.
IT Projects & Upgrades: assist in implementing infrastructure upgrades and testing deployments.
User Training & Support: conduct internal training sessions and guide junior staff.
Data Security & Backup: ensure data security protocols and assist in backup processes.
Other Duties: undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by Head of IT.
