Job summary

Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Manager - Information Technology (System Engineering) to lead a team of system engineers and executives. The role focuses on reliable, scalable infrastructure, budgeting, and governance across AD, Exchange, SharePoint, and Azure platforms.

You will oversee patching, DR planning, and security maintenance while ensuring compliance and milestone delivery. This position offers a strategic leadership path within a market-leading nitrile gloves

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field; professional certifications (MCSE, VCP, PMP, VMCE) are strong advantages.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in system administration with supervisory exposure.
Advanced expertise in Microsoft ecosystem (Server OS, AD, Exchange, SharePoint, SCCM, O365, Azure) and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
Experience administering enterprise backup systems and disaster recovery frameworks; knowledge of business continuity planning.
Working knowledge of database administration (MS SQL, Oracle) and enterprise infrastructure lifecycles.
Strong IT governance, security standards, and regulatory compliance, with incident management and RCA abilities.
Effective stakeholder communication and project coordination to align technical initiatives with business needs.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise system engineers and executives to ensure high performance and service delivery.
Oversee annual budgeting including CAPEX and OPEX planning for infrastructure.
Ensure infrastructure services meet SLAs and OLAs for reliability and continuity.
Design and implement technical infrastructure solutions to meet evolving business needs.
Administer enterprise IT systems (AD, Email, SharePoint, SCCM, Azure) for secure operations.
Govern system change requests and refresh initiatives to ensure controlled upgrades.
Plan patching, security maintenance, and system upgrades to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Manage backup operations, DR planning, and recovery testing.
Provide technical guidance and performance oversight to staff.
Monitor infrastructure performance metrics and report progress to IT leadership.
