Job summary

Armstrong Auto Parts Sdn Bhd seeks an IT Support Technician to provide helpdesk and on-site technical support for hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other peripherals. You will log issues, perform OS imaging, manage inventory, ensure security, and coordinate with IT teams and vendors from our Seremban area.

The ideal candidate holds an Advanced Diploma or Degree in IT and has hands-on experience with IT management systems and SPICEWORK.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma or Degree in IT/Computer science or equivalent.
• Hands on experience in IT management system.

Responsibilities

• Provide helpdesk and on-site technical support of hardware and software including desktop, laptop, printers, scanner and other IT peripherals.
• Ensure end user reporting issues are logged into helpdesk system and respond to the end user promptly
• Set up desktop/laptop, printers and perform OS imaging
• Maintain log listing of required repairs and maintenance
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
• Ensure anti-virus software is up to date and share necessary information with users regarding risks
• Maintain SPICEWORK Ticketing system
• Maintain and create end user access right to file server
• Maintain and create domain ID for the end users
• Maintain and create hotspot user access
• Maintain and create user email account
• Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery for all systems including attendance device, CCTV systems and PABX
• Proactively coordinate with IT team & vendors to ensure quick resolution to all IT issues reported by end users
• On call for emergencies, site visits to support other branches
• Perform periodic checks on network and data security
• Preparation of weekly report
• Any other task assigned from the superior from time to time
