Job summary

Links International is seeking an experienced IT Operations professional to manage multiple payroll systems across Malaysia, China, and other countries. The role covers payroll application lifecycle, vendor coordination, and regional database maintenance to support APAC operations.

The candidate will also monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, provide application support to payroll teams, and ensure incidents are resolved within SLAs.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Tier 2 IT operations experience
• Experience in system/database maintenance and vendor management
• Fluent in Mandarin and English

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple internal payroll systems in Malaysia, China and other countries
• Oversee payroll applications lifecycle including vendor management, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and de-installation
• Configure and maintain databases for regional payroll users across 14 APAC countries
• Provide application support and troubleshooting to payroll teams
• Monitor servers, network devices, storage and cloud environments for health and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents within SLA
• Perform regular system maintenance, updates and optimization
• Cover/back up other IT team members’ day-to-day operations
• Provide Tier 1/2 IT support as needed
• Handle ad hoc IT tasks and projects as assigned by IT Manager

Job description

• Manage multiple internal payroll systems in Malaysia, China and other countries
• Manage payroll applications lifecycle, eg. payroll vendor management, installation, ongoing maintanance/monitoring/troubleshooting, and de‑installation
• Configure and maintain databases and system for regional payroll users across 14 APAC countries
• Provide application support and troubleshooting assistance to payroll teams
• Monitor performance and health of servers, network devices, storage, and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems within SLA
• Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and optimization

Other General IT Support:

• Cover/ backup other IT Team Members' day-to-day operations
• Include but not limited to Tier 1 user support, Tier 2 network maintainance, etc.
• Ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by IT Manager

Requirements:

• 5 years' experience in Tier 2 IT operations and system database maintenance
• Experience in software system implementation and vendor management
• Familiar with IT infrastructure technical skills:
  • Virtualization: VMware, Hyper V
  • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing & switching
  • Cloud platforms: Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Backup systems, monitoring tools, and storage technologies
• Fluent in spoken Mandarin and English
