Toppan Security Systems in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an IT Support professional to install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network services. You will diagnose issues, guide end-users, and escalate complex problems to the appropriate teams.
Responsibilities include administering Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365, managing user life cycles, and monitoring server health. You will also support security policies and IT budgets while ensuring system availability.
IT Support provides technical assistance to computer system users. This includes installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues. The role requires effective communication with end-users to diagnose problems, walk them through solutions, and elevate more complex issues to the appropriate teams.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration & Ownership
Administer and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Manage user lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, access review).
Perform server health monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting.
Own system availability and basic capacity planning.
Support and manage Microsoft 365 / Azure AD (Entra ID) environments.
Assist with Intune / endpoint management / device compliance.
Support hybrid or cloud-based authentication and access policies.
Troubleshoot cloud service availability and user access issues.
IT Security & Compliance
Enforce endpoint security policies (antivirus, disk encryption, patch compliance).
Support security audits, access reviews, and incident investigations.
Assist in implementing company IT security policies and best practices.
Liaise with vendors or security teams for incident resolution.
Network & Infrastructure Support
Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall, and Wi Fi infrastructure.
Perform basic firewall rule changes and network documentation.
Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for network issues.
Monitor network performance and uptime.
IT Operation & Improvement
Identify recurring IT issues and propose improvement solutions.
Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades and migration projects.
Maintain IT SOPs, diagrams, and asset lifecycle documentation.
Support IT budgeting and vendor management processes.
Qualifications & Requirement:
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 1-3 years in IT support or network administration roles.
Experience with firewalls, VPNs, Cisco, Watchguard and intrusion detection/prevention systems and endpoint security solutions.
Effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, PCI DSS and data protection regulations (PDPA) to prepare technical documentation for audit purposes and IT security policies.
May require occasional work outside regular office hours to address critical issues.
