A leading IT support firm in Penang is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide daily technical support for employees, handle PC and laptop setups, and manage IT inventory. Ideal candidates will possess a Diploma or Degree in IT/Computer Science, with skills in Windows OS, MS Office, and troubleshooting. Job description

Provide daily technical support for employees and assist the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and basic infrastructure to ensure smooth IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform PC and laptop setup, OS installation, and software configuration.

Support printer setup, troubleshooting, toner replacement, and connectivity issues.

Handle new user onboarding: email setup, user account creation, access permissions.

Install and update company-approved applications.

Responsible for IT inventory tracking: laptops, monitors, peripherals.

Handle basic hardware repairs or coordinate with vendors.

Log and manage tickets in the helpdesk system and update follow-ups.

Assist in meeting room setup, projector/TV/Zoom/Teams configuration.

Support company events requiring IT assistance.

Escalate complex technical issues to senior team members.

Communicate with outsourced IT vendor on security issues and IT hardware setup.

Requirements

Diploma / Degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent.

Basic understanding of Windows OS / MS Office / Networking.

Knowledge of printers, routers, and PC hardware troubleshooting.

Good communication, patience, and willingness to learn.

Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Added Advantage:

Experience with Active Directory / Office 365 / Azure AD.

Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python) is a bonus.
