Job summary

Ipsos in Malaysia is seeking an experienced IT leader to implement the global IT strategy locally and drive long-term planning aligned with Ipsos Tech goals. You will oversee service delivery, budgets, and cross-divisional collaboration to ensure high-quality IT support across Malaysia.

The role requires 10–12 years in IT with at least 5 years in management, strong strategic thinking, and excellent communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in IT with 5+ years in a management role.
• Ability to explain technology clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong business and IT background; serve as a trusted business partner.
• Excellent communication with senior management, clients, and cross-functional teams.
• Proactive and capable of delivering innovative solutions to business requirements.
• Proven track record of delivering value and credibility with business partners.

Responsibilities

• Implement the global IT strategy locally in Malaysia and align long-term planning with Ipsos Tech goals.
• Collaborate with Ipsos Tech Global Divisions to ensure high-quality IT service delivery in Malaysia.
• Oversee Help Desk & Desktop support and track response/resolution metrics.
• Provide direction on IT support, email, servers, data centers, and network for all Ipsos sites in Malaysia.
• Promote innovative thinking and BAU support for cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Independently manage small-to-mid size infrastructure projects with internal teams or vendors.
• Liaise with 3rd-party suppliers, including Managed Hosting partners.
• Ensure Ipsos companies in Malaysia comply with IT standards and Group policies; oversee security and controls as defined by policy and governance.
• Meet with clients to ensure solutions/platforms meet requirements; build Ipsos IT credibility in data management and online reporting/portals.
• Report regularly on risks, opportunities, and project progress in agreed format.
• Directly manage significant IT projects and maintain detailed project plans.
• Develop annual Malaysia IT budget in liaison with finance and Group instructions; ensure spending aligns with plan.
• Coordinate IT/Telco purchasing and approvals; report incidents within 24 hours to global ITSVP/CIO and relevant auditors.
• Attend and contribute to senior management and IT leadership meetings.
• Other job-related duties as assigned; oversee user base of 700+ permanent employees across Malaysia and CATI/CAPI resources.
