Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to drive a high-profile SAP migration in the finance sector, involving SAP HANA and cloud infrastructure. You will own end-to-end delivery, coordinating business, technology teams and external vendors to meet timelines, budgets and quality standards within a regulated environment.

You will lead planning, risk management, data migration, testing and post‑implementation support, reporting to senior management and governance bodies.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma or equivalent in IT or related field.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification required.
• Proven IT Project Manager with delivery experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Strong planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project lifecycle from initiation to handover.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and milestones.
• Coordinate SAP migration activities involving SAP HANA and cloud.
• Manage internal teams, stakeholders, vendors and partners.
• Track risks, issues, dependencies and changes; escalate as needed.
• Oversee data migration, testing, cutover planning and post-implementation support.
• Provide status updates to senior management and steering committees.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to drive a high-profile SAP migration initiative in the finance sector, involving SAP HANA and cloud infrastructure. You will own end-to-end delivery, bringing together business stakeholders, internal technology teams and external vendors to achieve agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards, all within a regulated environment with strong governance, information security and risk requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the project lifecycle from initiation and planning through implementation, go-live and operational handover
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations and delivery milestones
• Coordinate SAP migration activities involving SAP HANA and the target cloud environment
• Manage internal technology teams, business stakeholders, SAP consultants, implementation partners and cloud service providers
• Track risks, issues, dependencies and change requests, escalating where necessary
• Oversee data migration, system integration, testing, UAT, cutover planning and post-implementation support
• Work with cybersecurity, risk, compliance and infrastructure teams, and provide regular status updates to senior management and steering committees

What We're Looking For:

• Degree, diploma or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related IT discipline
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification (either is required)
• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager with a track record of delivering IT projects
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, external vendors and multiple stakeholder groups
• Strong planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource management skills, with the ability to manage risks, scope changes and dependencies
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, presentation and vendor negotiation skills
• Advantageous: banking or financial services experience, SAP implementation, upgrade or migration exposure, and cloud project experience (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud)
