Job summary

VAT Group in Batu Kawan, Malaysia, is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, multi-stream technology initiatives.

You will drive end-to-end delivery of IT projects, manage global stakeholders, and ensure governance, planning and quality assurance. The role offers exposure to Digital Workplace, ESM, PPM, and collaboration platforms within a dynamic international environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years experience managing IT projects in mid- to large-scale environments.
• Ability to drive a project forward independently.
• Proven track record in multi-stream projects with complex stakeholder landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium- to large-scale IT projects across multiple business and IT streams.
• Manage diverse stakeholders at different levels, ensuring alignment, transparency and structured communication.
• Oversee project planning, execution, governance, and quality assurance.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of Digital Workplace and enterprise IT initiatives from initiation through go-live and handover.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, business representatives, vendors, and implementation partners across global locations.
• Manage project scope, timeline, risks, dependencies and decision-making to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops, project meetings, steering committees and stakeholder alignment activities.
• Proactively identify delivery risks and drive mitigation actions to keep projects on track.

YOUR CHALLENGES
VAT Group is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, multi-stream technology initiatives.
In this role, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of key IT projects as a senior leader in project execution and stakeholder alignment.
Project Leadership

• Lead medium- to large-scale IT projects across multiple business and IT streams.
• Manage diverse stakeholders at different levels, ensuring alignment, transparency, and structured communication.
• Oversee project planning, execution, governance, and quality assurance.

Project Execution

• Drive end-to-end delivery of Digital Workplace and enterprise IT initiatives from initiation through go-live and handover.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, business representatives, vendors, and implementation partners across global locations.
• Manage project scope, timeline, risks, dependencies, and decision-making to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops, project meetings, steering committees, and stakeholder alignment activities.
• Proactively identify delivery risks and drive mitigation actions to keep projects on track.

Governance & Portfolio Alignment

• Maintain clear project plans, status updates, RAID logs, and executive reporting.
• Ensure projects align with business priorities, portfolio governance, and available delivery capacity.
• Support business case development, project intake, prioritization, and governance processes where required.
• Coordinate project transitions into operational support and promote adoption of delivered solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices within the global IT organization.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

• Min 5-7 years experience of experience managing IT projects in mid- to large-scale environments.
• Able to demonstrate capability to drive a project forward independently
• Strong track record of managing multi-stream projects with complex stakeholder landscapes.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong project management capabilities (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across senior and operational levels.
• Strong facilitation, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.

Tools

• Strong affinity with digital workplace technologies, including Microsoft 365 and AI-enabled productivity solutions such as Microsoft Copilot.
• Experience delivering projects related to Digital Workplace, Enterprise Service Management (ESM), Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Collaboration Platforms, or similar business applications is considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with SAP-based environments is beneficial.
