Job summary

Powercomp Software in Malaysia seeks a Project Manager to oversee IT initiatives from initiation to closure, coordinating cross-functional teams and client stakeholders. This role requires strong communication, meticulous documentation, and leadership to drive project plans and ensure delivery on time and within constraints.

Responsibilities include facilitating estimates, maintaining project documentation, coordinating with departments and clients, managing risks, and producing regular status

Qualifications

• Minimum seven year degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Knowledge of project management IT, negotiations, estimating, schedules.
• Excellent communication and organization skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in estimates for selected project with detailed review of project proposal specifications, statement of work, takeoff information, and contracting.
• Provide technical assistance and services, interpretation of project management plan, recommending project proposal methods and services, etc., as required.
• Assist in initiating and maintaining extra work estimating and issuance of change management.
• Lead a team as a team leader to provide guidance, direction and leadership.
• Maintain project files in an orderly and organized manner.
• Prepare necessary and required closeout project documentation.
• Play the role of a project coordinator and execute project plan with the team members.
• Coordinate the project with other departments and external client; attend meetings with client on project matters.
• Ensure projects are implemented smoothly according to timeline and constraints; highlight and report issues.
• Document all project schedules per project plan and manage risk until resolved.
• Obtain user acceptance on documents across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure.
• Monitor after implementation until handover.
• Report work status weekly/bi-weekly/monthly; assist in status reports and cost projections.
• Frequent meetings with the work group to address issues; document lessons learned.
• Proactively record meeting minutes and circulate within 72 hours.
• Upgrade personal skills through training; adhere to work ethics and professionalism.
• Maintain project management processes and CMMI methodology.
• Provide project management tools and support such as Project Companion and Microsoft Project.
