Job summary

Morgan McKinley is recruiting for an onsite IT role in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The candidate will handle Linux shell scripting, SQL, and middleware tasks to support production environments. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is required, with a focus on maintaining data integrity in reconciliation systems.

The role requires knowledge of financial market operations, ITIL practices, and experience with tools like Citrix and Tivoli Workload Scheduler. 5-day on-site work week is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in shell scripting in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Strong proficiency of SQL (Oracle-oriented).
• Understanding middleware technologies such as FTP and MQ messaging systems.
• Familiarity and knowledge of Citrix is a plus.
• Experience with job schedulers, particularly Mainframe Scheduler TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Z/OS), is a plus
• Experience with monitoring tools and incident management systems
• Understanding of ITIL framework or similar service management best practices

Responsibilities

• Run activity : handle and manage system alerts until resolution and process user 's requests (analyze and debug)
• Participate to projects and develop, maintain, and optimize scripts and SQL databases, ensuring data integrity of reconciliation applications.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure middleware components such as FTP servers and MQ messaging services and correspond with the infrastructure providers for fixes or incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in finance and technology.

Employment mode: Onsite (5 days work from office)

Work experience :

• Junior: 0-2 years of experience Linux and shell scripting as well as SQL and production support
• Experienced: 2-6 years of experience with Linux and shell scripting as well as SQL and production support
• Senior: > 6years of experience with Linux and shell scripting as well as SQL and production support

The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of financial market operations.

Academic requirements :

Bachelor's or master degree in information technology engineering, or eventually project management field

Required technical Skills :

• Proven experience in shell scripting in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Strong proficiency of SQL (Oracle-oriented)
