Job summary

QUETTA BYTE SDN. BHD. seeks a Data Centre Staff to handle 7×24 work orders, service requests and incident reports with timely responses. You will troubleshoot and resolve faults in GPU/CPU servers and network devices, and coordinate with vendors for support.

The role includes routine data center maintenance, equipment inspections, environmental monitoring, and overseeing cabling, installation and construction activities to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of practical experience in the operation and maintenance of IT department.
• Working experience in the data center industry is preferred.
• Diploma or above.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English as a working language, proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
• Meticulous and responsible, with strong teamwork spirit and good organizational discipline.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 7×24 work orders, service requests, and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults and incidents involving GPU servers, CPU servers, network devices, and network links.
• Perform server and network equipment maintenance and coordinate with vendors for technical support and service follow-up.
• Conduct regular data center IT equipment inspections and respond to equipment fault reports.
• Monitor module-level environmental and safety conditions, including access control, temperature, and humidity.
• Perform equipment installation, removal, replacement, cabling, and system installation/configuration.
• Manage and adjust physical cabling layouts within the data center, including fiber optic cables, network cables, and power cords.
• Coordinate and oversee data center construction and installation activities to ensure work is completed safely and according to requirements.
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency incidents, coordinate troubleshooting, and track issues through to resolution.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks and duties assigned by the department.
